Hall School Wimbledon relishes in resounding ISI Report success

Chatsworth Schools is delighted to share Hall School Wimbledon (HSW)’s recent Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) Inspection Report that took place in December 2023. Whilst one word judgements no longer accompany ISI Inspections, the positive findings and praise for every element of the school speak for themselves.

On the ISI Report, Chatsworth Schools Founder and CEO, Anita Gleave said “Hall School Wimbledon was the school that many said would be the end of Chatsworth Schools before we began. How wrong they were.

Under the stellar leadership of Heads like Graeme Delaney and now Andrew Hammond, and by committing to our values of integrity, resilience and passion and a focus on children above all else Hall School Wimbledon has, in less than six years, become one of the most vibrant and popular schools in South West London.

I am in no way surprised by the outstanding ISI Inspection Report HSW has received, but I couldn’t be prouder of Andrew, his team, and crucially the children.”

Some of the report’s highlights include:

ON HSW’S INCLUSIVE CULTURE

“The school has established an inclusive and kind culture, so pupils are comfortable in their surroundings and are respectful towards each other, accepting difference. Relationships between staff and pupils are positive, both academically and pastorally.”

ON HWS’S LEADERSHIP

“Leaders weave the values of the school, health and self-worth, positive wellbeing, individuality, fellowship, opportunity, innovation and intellectual curiosity through all aspects of school life. Pupils are courteous, articulate, supportive of each other and proud of the inclusive environment of the school.”

ON HSW’S ENRICHED CURRICULUM

“The curriculum is well balanced, inclusive and supports the needs of the pupils across a broad range of skills and knowledge. The school has introduced additional subjects such as social sciences, dance and DT that develop pupils’ knowledge and skills, including in the newly established sixth form.”

ON HSW’S PASTORAL CARE

“There is a wide-ranging personal, social, health and economic (PSHE) education programme which includes suitable age-appropriate provision. The programme reflects the school’s ethos of promoting inclusivity and respect for others. Pupils welcome the opportunity to discuss issues and appreciate how this contributes to their own wellbeing.”

On the report, Head Andrew Hammond said “Another inspection may be a long way off now, but we shall not rest! We want to continue to build on this excellent report, as we grow, not only in number, but in the many opportunities we provide for our wonderful children.

My final thanks must go to the brilliant team at Chatsworth Schools, who continue to support our school in every way and help us to be the best that we can be. We are very proud to be a part of the Chatsworth family, whose relentless help and encouragement allows us to be a bespoke, nurturing and ambitious place to learn. On such a sure footing, I believe our future looks bright indeed.”
