Da Vinci International School, Antwerp
In May 2024, Blenheim Schools welcomed Da Vinci International School Antwerp (DVIS) to our international school division. Da Vinci was founded by Ms Ilse de Souter 27 years ago and Ilse remains the principal today. Ilse is the youngest women to have founded an international school in Belgium and the longest serving leader of one in the country.
DVIS is a family-focused boutique international school in the heart of Antwerp, Belgium with a student body of forty student nationalities that benefits from a strong, international faculty experienced in both UK and international curricula.
The school joins as Blenheim Schools’ first International Baccalaureate curriculum school and is fully IB DP and MYP accredited, with PYP accreditation pending. Very much in line with Chatsworth Schools’ educational philosophy, DVIS has a strong reputation for inclusivity, diversity and offering a level of pastoral care unmatched by other international schools in Belgium.
On joining Blenheim Schools, DVIS Founder and Principal, Ilse de Souter said “Joining the Chatsworth Schools’ family will bolster our community’s confidence and resources, enabling us to continue focusing on what we do best: educating young learners and opening hearts, minds, and doors to the future.
Our integration into Blenheim Schools will not disrupt the daily operations at Da Vinci. Everything will continue as usual, and I, Mr. Stanley, and our entire SLT team are excited to collaborate with the Blenheim Schools’ team. We will greatly benefit from their experience and expertise in all aspects of school life here in Antwerp.
Having dedicated my life to this school, I am excited and confident that joining the Chatsworth Schools’ global family will strengthen Da Vinci International School’s future.”
Blenheim Schools Founder and CEO, Anita Gleave said ““We are delighted that Da Vinci International School is the first school in mainland Europe to join the Blenheim Schools’ family. Through high standards, a commitment to excellence and by fostering a love of learning, Blenheim Schools enables children to become confident, well-rounded individuals and lifelong learners. We look forward to bringing our innovative educational philosophy and extensive experience to Da Vinci International School and continuing with the school’s work of enabling outstanding futures”.
