Chatsworth Schools is delighted to announce that following his retirement from Headship at Riverston School in July 2023, David Ward is to replace Greg Wallace on the BBC’s hit culinary show, MasterChef.
Andrew Elias, Director of Marketing and Communications for Chatsworth Schools said “The BBC’s appointment of David Ward is a testament to David’s commitment to ensuring Riverston School developed a tasty, nutritious and diverse daily menu during his tenure that he personally oversaw and quality checked on a daily basis. Anyone who knows David knows how passionate he is about his food and the educational benefits it can bring a school and community. I’ve no doubt he will take the already popular show to new culinary heights.”
David Ward said “On my retirement, my plan was to take some time out with Mrs Ward but when the BBC called me, the opportunity to work with John Torode on a programme that’s inspired me and the Riverston School kitchen to achieve what we have was simply too good to turn down. With Riverston having recently been awarded ‘Excellent in all areas’ by the Independent Schools Inspectorate, I know what ‘excellent’ looks and tastes like and look forward to judging the talented contestants on this years MasterChef by my own high standards.”
Greg Wallace and the BBC could not be reached for comment.
We wish David every success in his new culinary TV career and know that the proof will truly be in the pudding when it comes to his new role.
